Massage Therapy in Holt, Michigan

Hands-on soft tissue work, booked on its own or folded into the care plan you are already following.

Muscles, Not Only Joints

An adjustment frees up a joint. Massage deals with everything wrapped around it: the band of tightness that sits across your shoulders by mid-afternoon, the muscle that has been guarding an old injury long after the injury healed, the sluggish circulation that follows tissue staying clenched for months. Attending to both is what treating the whole person, not just the symptoms, looks like in practice, and it is why this sits inside your care here rather than in a separate appointment across town.

Nothing about a session is off a script. You say where it hurts, what your days ask of your body and what you want out of the hour, and the pressure and the modality follow from that answer. Dr. Jessica Coleman and Dr. Moriah Severance will sometimes suggest soft tissue work between adjustments, though plenty of people book a table on its own and never see a treatment room. Appointments run inside our regular Holt hours, Monday and Wednesday 9am to 6pm, Thursday 2pm to 6pm and Friday 9am to 3pm, and patients reach us easily from Mason, Dimondale, Okemos, Grand Ledge and the wider Lansing area.

What an Hour Here Involves

Assessment

A few minutes talking first: where the trouble is, what your health history says about it, what you would like to feel afterwards

Targeted Therapy

Depth and modality are chosen from that conversation, and adjusted mid-session if the pressure lands harder or lighter than you wanted

Integration

If you are under chiropractic care too, what the table turns up goes back to your doctor so both halves aim at the same thing

Recovery

You go home with a stretch or two and some simple self-care, because the week between visits is where most of the ground is won or lost

Common Questions

Can I come in only for massage, without seeing a chiropractor?

You can. No examination, no care plan, no obligation to become a patient for anything else. Book a table, take the hour, go home. If at some point you want to know why the same spot keeps tightening up, our doctors are down the hall and happy to look.

Which kind should I pick if I have never had a massage before?

You do not have to arrive knowing. Describe what is bothering you and we will match it: deep tissue when something specific has been stubborn, sports massage around training, lymphatic drainage or relaxation work when the whole system is simply worn out. Nothing is fixed once the session starts, so speak up and the pressure changes.

I am pregnant. Is this appropriate for me?

Prenatal massage is one of the things we offer, with positioning and pressure suited to how far along you are, so tell us when you book and again when you arrive. If your pregnancy is being followed closely for any reason, check with your OB or midwife first. Many expecting mothers here pair it with prenatal chiropractic care from Dr. Moriah, who is Webster Certified.

How long is an appointment, and how do I get one on the books?

Most run somewhere between half an hour and a full hour, depending on how much ground there is to cover. Book online whenever it suits you, or call (517) 699-2646 during office hours and we will find a slot that fits around work or the school run.
